(Hilo, HI) The CSUMB volleyball team dropped its final match of the Hawai'ian Style Classic Tournament to Chaminade University by scores of 24-30, 22-30, 23-30.  The Otters now return to Seaside to host the Coaches Choice-Otter Classic on Labor Day Weekend.  Notre Dame de Namur University,  Seattle Pacific University, Saginaw Valley State and #1 ranked University of Tampa will take part in the tournament August 31-September 1 at the Otter Sports Center gymnasium.

Courtney Taubert led the way for the Otters with 14 kills and 11 digs while Brittany Etchings added 9 kills and 13 digs.  Dana Grimm had 31 assists and Melissa Nickas finished with a team high 19 digs.

"I was impressed by our mind set and how we competed coming off an emotional 5 game loss this morning, " said head coach Jody Garry. "This team has incredible character and battled each point with a very good Chaminade team."
